Having just parked up at the local shops to buy my grandpa a bottle of Skye's finest single malt, an elderly gentlemen pulled up next to me in his Nissan Note.

As soon as his door opened I heard, 'FERRERO ROCHER! YES. YES THAT'S WHAT IT IS.'

He stepped out of the car and looked me in the eye, 'Italian, yes? Ferrero Rocher.'

'No Sir, I think they're French. Are they on your shopping list?'

'Bloody hell son no. Ferrero Rocher, it's Italian... [clicks fingers] what is it?'

'Oh I'm not sure, do you need some? I'm not sure this shop will have them, you're better off going to the supermarket down the road.'

'No no, don't be silly. What is it, that car there?'

[Points at my car]

'Ah. Right. It's an Alfa Romeo sir, and yes it's Italian.'

I had a smile on my face the whole way home :D

Good story! Also, I freaking love those things. One of my favorite sweets, although oddly enough I think they're more expensive in Paris than in the US.

Cool story. Strangers don't stop me about my car. I get guys asking to buy my truck nearly every time I drive it though. It's a good feeling.

I get people confusing my Skoda for a Mercedes. I just smile. Though I do enjoy correcting the odd one or two.

We've got some ambassador profiteroles at work which are hazelnut and chocolate cream filled profiteroles with a thick coating of milk chocolate and chunks of hazelnut on the outside. If anyone if the U.K. gets chance, get to asda frozen section for a box of 20 for £2 and they are a fair size too. They taste amazing.
